Should I do a full body workout daily with limited reps to all, or conentrate on each body part with more reps ?

I have alot or work out DVD's and am wondering how to use them.  I have several workouts that are full body but very few reps.  Then I have several which concentrate on upper body, lower body, abs, etc. What is the most effective for weight loss?
