I like to question things and lately I have been questioning a lot about body composition training. Lets think about it for a second, how do people typically build the bodies of their dreams?
Body Part Training
No attention given to rest or tempo
That pretty much sums up everyone you see in the gym today. If everyone is doing it right, then why don't more people have the body that they want. I mean, think about it for a second. You see 1 out of every 10 people in the gym that have the body that they want. Something's wrong here.
Instead why aren't we taking time out to perform training methods like cluster sets, high intensity trisetting or circuits,tabatas, wave loading etc etc. If you don't know what these methods are, fine. Just train harder, using heavy weight.
What I'm trying to say is, get out of bodybuilder mode. Muscle is muscle, all it knows is the weight you lift and the tension placed on the muscle. There is zero need to worry about training like everyone else. After all, chances are that you don't want their body anyway.
