pojo's granola recipe

in a 9X13 glass pan, add:
3 cups Old Fashioned Oats 3 cups crushed Shredded Wheat 1 cup wheat germ ½ cup ground flax seed (optional) ½ cup sliced or slivered almonds
In a measuring bowl, melt in the microwave:1 stick butter2 Tbsp cinnamon½ cup honey 2 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 tablespoon zero calorie brown baking sweetner {optional, you can get it smith's or kroger. it adds a nice rich, sweet taste without calories}
Mix dry ingredients together in 9 x 13 glass dish. Melt butter through brown baking sweetener in the microwave. Stir well. Pour over dry ingredients. Mix really well – may need to use hands.
Bake at 325 for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.- stirring every 15 minutes is KEY!
Let cool for about 30 minutes before removing from dish. *you can get crazy and add raisins or craisins or other nuts but i don't this is how i like mine.
