Nope. According to registered dietician Karen Brewton in a recent Oxy magazine article, you need to eat something 30 minutes before heading to the gym. At least a little something like a breakfast bar or yogurt. If you exercise in the morning, you'll need a light breakfast first. And if you work out after work, make sure you get something in your system if it's been five or more hours since lunch. Plus, breakfast gets your metabolism going. Don't skip it!
Definitely need something in that tummy to fuel that workout, but not so much that you feel what you just ate will be back for Act 2. Pre workout dining is a bell curve, you may need to experiment a little to find the ideal amount and types of foods that best fuel your workout without making you feel sick.
