My Texas Retreat

img00161 This is my favorite picture from the retreat in Texas. How relaxing does THAT look!  It was all so beautiful and I will post more pictures as I post.

So I went to this retreat to learn more about the USANA products and learn how to market them. I always want to make sure I refer high quality products to my clients, so I thought what better way to learn more about them then to go on this retreat…plus I was in need of some time away. Since it was thinking of it as a “business trip” I wasn’t exactly sure what to think about it. Boy was I suprised!

dr-northrup My “team” of USANA is called Team Northrup, as in Dr Christiane Northrup, from the Oprah show?!  Yea, wow! She was so inspiring and funny! I seriously had a smile on my face and got goosebumps every time she talked! It was absolutely amazing! I didn’t feel like I was being sold to, I felt like I was being provided with means to help me not only become a better, happier person, but to learn to love myself and my work and make it truly about what I want!

I wish I could have videotaped it with you all and shared it,  but I didn’t. She is doing a teleseminar tomorrow, which I invite you to join in and listen, and you too can be inspired! Here is the info for the call:

img00151 now more about my weekend. All meals were paid for with the room, which was awesome! They had such a great variety of HEALTHY foods! Every meal there was a salad bar with spinach and lots of veggies and fruits. Then was the main cooked vegetable dishes along with a vegan protein and regular protein. I was in HEAVEN! Didn’t have to cook or clean up, just enjoy! Even had myself a piece of delicious chocolate mousse cake the first night there!

Saturday morning, Team Northrup offered a NIA class. NIA is an expressive movement practice that uses The Body’s Way to achieve physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual fitness and well-being. So I thought, what the heck, I will try it. Well, its something I know my mom would LOVE, but wasn’t really for me. There was also 15 minutes of Yoga afterwards, which was nice, the stretching felt good after being on an airplane and shuttle the day before.

Sunday morning was NIA and yoga again, but I choose my own little hike instead, which was so much more my style.



img00156 So, all in all, I came back inspired, rested and ready to tackle my life, my work and most of all to make it fun and just do what I want to do!
