My favourite supplements for health and fat loss

Hi everyone, I will be the first one to tell you that exercise and and healthy diet are the most important factors to losing weight and keeping it off. I like to think I practice these attributes but I also take some supplements to help me along. Below is a list of the products I take to improve my health and keep my body composition where I like it. First off I am a 29 year old man and have a sedentary job, so I only get off my arse to train and commute (by bike).


I take a protein powder because I lift weights a lot and need a ton of protein to maintain muscle mass. Also, I cannot eat a lot of carbs without getting fat so I can't buffer my muscles with copious amounts of carbconsumption. Whey protein has immune system boosting properties, will fill you up, and help your muscles and organs repair themselves from stress. I highly recommend you take it!



This stuff is gold! Almost as soon as I started taking greens I had more energy, was more, um, regular, and just felt better. Nobody eats enough vegetables and our soils are way more depleted than they used to be so for optimum health I take a greens powder. Do they taste bad at first? Yep. But you will get used to it. I love the taste of them now.



Good fat burns fat! Omega-3 fatty acids will promote fat loss and improve your health. After cutting out milk and peanuts, plus adding salmon oil my allergies have disappeared. Omega-3 fatty acids also improve brain function (mood and IQ) and will decrease symptoms of ADHD. If that wasn't enough, these fats will increase insulin sensitivity as well so you will build muscle and prevent fat gain too! To top it off, they are cheap, so why wouldn't you take them?



Consuming zinc will increase testosterone levels in men and help to remove estrogen. Charles Poliquin wrote that "nothing pulls estrogen out of the body like zinc." With all the stress and man made pollutants we are exposed to, men have never had such high estrogen levels. Overly high estrogen, and keep in mind these are not the natural estrogen's our body produces but man made versions, will create stubborn body fat around the waist for men. Even woman with stubborn body fat around the hips would do well to take zinc.



Magnesium helps me sleep better, and that is enough for me! I experience a deeper, higher quality sleep when I take magnesium so I will keep on taking it. The complex I bought is to ensure a proper balance of minerals. I am no expert in this field so I buy the complexes off the shelf.


In conclusion, I am not trying to sell you anything, I don't care if you take these products or not. After years of working in a supplement store and living in the gym, these are the products that help me achieve my goals, and they may do the same for you!
