Hope you all had wonderful weekends!! The weather here has been so crazy in Chicago. For starters, it’s the end of January and after 355 days without “major snow” we broke a record here with a mind blowing 1.1 inches of the white stuff on Friday! I’m not complaining, but it’s just weird!! They are saying the high for tomorrow is going to be 60˚. Last week at this time, the high was 7˚. Yesterday we had some freezing rain followed by a lightning storm.

We didn’t have much going on this weekend which was just fine with me. I got in a great and speedy treadmill run on Saturday morning before my shopping partner and I hit up Trader Joes and Starbucks for a little date.
Yep, she’s got wine in her cart! In case you missed my post about my favorite $4.99 wine at Trader Joes here it is . Seriously, I can’t get enough of that wine in the winter.

Sunday, I headed back to Bikram yoga after a few week hiatus. It felt amazing to be back in the heat! After Bikram, Sara and I made this amazing Chia Peanut Butter! I can’t stop eating it!! Recipe coming tomorrow!
I’ve been starting to think about some spring races and half marathons! Looking to do some new ones this year. 1/2 marathons are my absolute favorite distance! For starters as much as I love marathons, training for a 1/2 takes a whole lot less time and the satisfaction is just as great. Do you have a favorite distance? Got any races in the hopper for 2013?
