#2 - The Deltoid
Nice glutes, he must work out!
The deltoid (friends call him 'Delt' ) is the name of your most superficial muscle of the shoulder.Yes, he will judge you if you are wearing last season's shoes. When looked at from the side view, the deltoids can take the shape of a upside down raindrop. The deltoid has also been diagnosed with schizophrenia, as it has three different sides (Anterior, Middle, and Posterior).
So, thaaaat's where my blue speedo went to!
The most underrated and underworked part of the shoulder is the posterior (back). All the shoulder press and raise exercises we do, primarily puts emphasis on the anterior (front) and middle part of the deltoid. The posterior delt during those exercises works to stablize the shoulder joint.
Why work your posterior deltoid?
Aesthetics - the back of the shoulder is the new bicep
Muscle Balance - between front/back
Posture - helps to pull shoulder backward
Injury Prevention - can reduce risk of shoulder injury
