looking for recommendations on a flexibility and endurance class in the early mornings

Posted by Heather F.

I'm trying to find something to do that will help me with kayaking and with pain management (where pain is caused by old injuries and lack of exercise). I've got time between 7:00am and 8:30am, and am looking for something that might be appropriate. Any suggestions? Local classes or gyms that might have something useful?

Hey Heather,

Have you considered yoga? There are a bunch of great yoga studios in Palo Alto that have classes in the mornings ( YogaSource, Avalon Yoga, Darshana Yoga)... I would think it would be good for building core strength for kayaking and increasing flexibility to reduce pain.

I thought about yoga, particularly for the stretching parts. My sweetheart thought that something that involved getting used to more rapid movement might be better. Still, yoga might be the way to start... Any suggestions on which flavor? I see lots of different types out there.
