So I got my long run of 6 on at the gym this morning. Since I am slow this is about as far as I can go before I have to restart the treadmill. I never do these runs at a steady pace. About 4 miles in my brain is numb and I have to pick up the speed to make my brain reengage! I am excited to get an extra gym day on Monday so I'll have 5 days next week, AND the hubby is off so I will get to run outside one morning, weather permitting! I'm trying to add a fourth day of running to the week as well as 1 or 2 strength days. My body tends to eat up my muscle, or at least I think it does, so I have to keep lifting to keep it, and make the running easier! I am hoping to run 7-8 next time I get outside, which will be my longest distance yet! If I can get to 10 miles by the end of February than it will give me all of March to get faster AND add more mileage so the 10 is no problem and I'll have an easy time at the 1/2 at the end of April. Still haven't registered, but there hasn't been extra cash to do it.Hopefully we will get our taxes done soon so I will be able to register before the price goes up. I soo was going to take a picture of me after my run today, but was short on time for my shower before I had to get the girls!
