Ladders and Tennis and Transformers and More

Posted Mar 17 2009 4:31am

My Gaiam article is up! Head here to check it out: Wobbly Workout Tools Work Hard for the Money. Leave lots of comments and show some love!

Expensive Toys are the Best

Jerome bought Powerblocks the other day and we are both super stoked for them to arrive. If you don’t know what they are you are missing out.

Powerblocks are dumbbells that allow you to attach weight plates to them to change the restistance. so in stead of having to have different dummbells for each weight, you have them all in one.

They remind me of Transformer hands.

And while perusing the interwebs for this post, I found this:

I want one. I used to run up the stairs like this when I was little, so it reminds me of my youth. But seriously, its a revolving ladder- how cool is that?

The weather is actually pretty nice today so I think Im going to take the pooch for a run to Petco to get his nails cut. Jerome and I hit the gym pretty hard last night, and im definately feeling pretty sore today, so a nice easy run sounds perfect, followed by some heavy duty stretching.

Jerome and I are going to try tennis. Im excited- I’ve only played a few times before, but its hard to find someone to play with me that wont kick my ass. There are some courts near my house that are always empty, so Im going to try and find some cheap rackets today while Im at the store.

Any tips?

Giveaways and More

Don’t forget to enter this week’s giveaway! 2 winners will be announced for a free one year subscription to FITNESS Magazine!

A lot of people have been asking me how I motivated Jerome to start working out, and the fact is i didn’t, he made the decision himself. If you guys would like to ask him some questions about how he made the change, what he thinks about working out and how you may be able to motivate your significant other, email me your questions at and I’ll compile and interview for him right here at EGN.
