I've had the same problem and my brace was too thight. Also, you'll have to get up throughout the day (I would get up about every hour to 1 1/2 hours just to stretch my legs as the brace somehow cut off my circulation). Hope this helps. Also, I did continue to ice my knee at night for 30 minutes minimum to reduce inflammation and swelling.

While on a ski trip last weekend, I fell and twisted my knee. The clinic diagnosed a possible Grade 2 injury to the interior MCL and a possible Grade 3 to the ACL. They gave me a hinged brace but I didn't require crutches. I've gone back to work (sitting at a desk for most of the day) and at the end of the days, when I remove the brace, there is significant swelling down to my foot. Normal? Brace on too tight? Thanks!
