Jumping rope can be a wonderful aerobic exercise. For most people jumping rope is pretty intense, so doing it in intervals may be the way to go. Do your warm up, jump for two minutes, then rest for one minute.Repeat until you’re tired. You may add half a minute to your jumping or shorten your rest periods for a more intense workout as your stamina improves. Choose a surface that isn't too hard to avoid straining your joints. As with other cardio exercises, work at a pace where you´re breathing somewhat hard but can still talk.
