Jillian Michaels RIPPED in 30 FREE DVD Giveaway

Most Project Swole readers will scoff as such an idea, but I am giving away 6 Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 DVDs. Why? Because the production company sent them to me for free and I figured some of you would enjoy them.

Ripped in 30 has not been released yet; actually it appears as though the release date is March 1, 2011. I guess some of you will get an advanced sneak preview.

You might care about Jillian Michaels because she has ‘helped’ hundreds of people to lose weight and change their lifestyle habits on TV’s The Biggest Loser, and through her books, DVDs, website, newsletter, Twitter, MySpace, Facebook, and I guess she’s even got a fricken video game for the WII. No matter the buzz around Jillian, whether positive of negative, if you are out of shape and looking for a solution, following Jillian’s diet and exercise advice is better than staying on the couch.

Apparently she is “America’s Toughest Trainer”, which I don’t quite understand because I’m sure there are several pro sports trainers who are much tougher than Miss Jillian. There are some pretty tough celebrity trainers in Hollywood too, who train those RIPPED action stars you all know and love. However, Jillian is much more affordable and available than the trainers I just mentioned. Why? You’ll have to figure that out for yourself.

Here’s what the back of the DVD says:

Not quite sure how “3 minutes of strength, 2 minutes of cardio, 1 minute of abs” can beat my Olympic giant set. Here, I’ll give it a catchy name and lay it all out for you…

Prescription:

  • 5 sets
  • 5 reps per set
  • no rest during the set, that means no rest between exercise and no rest between reps
  • 1 rep means you have to complete each of the exercises back-to-back-to-back once
  • Level 1: 90 seconds rest between sets
  • Level 2: 60 seconds rest between sets
  • Level 3: 30 seconds rest between sets

Exercises:

Start with the loaded barbell on the floor, feet shoulder width, hands shoulder width on the bar, head up, back straight.

After you complete the rep, return the bar to the floor, prepare for a deadlift to start the next rep.

After you complete all 5 sets, hit your abs hard. Do 3 sets of the following abdominal giant set:

Many of you may not be able to handle such a giant set due to many factors including inexperience, injury, weakness, lack of conditioning, or whatever other excuse you can come up with. However if you do spend about 30-35 minutes using this routine every other day for a month, I guarantee you will lose a ton of bodyfat as long as you eat properly. You can also do this routine twice a week in addition to your standard workout routine. In fact, I should post this as a standalone Swole post so a bunch of us can use the routine and post our results, which reminds me I still to get the forum up and running.

In addition to the 4 “incredible” workouts, you also will get access to some online 30-day diet plan. I didn’t watch the DVD or go online to Jillian’s site, so I don’t know what the workouts or diet plan are like. Chances are they will work, at least to some degree… remember you get out of it what you put into it.
