Is Walking Your Go-To Workout?

Posted May 31 2009 10:38pm
Earlier this week, I gave this fitness celebrity another chance after blasting her pretty hard on this DVD. And although I liked Ms. Sansone better the second time around, the Walk at Home DVDs will probably never be my faves (I promise to make Erin try the next new one as she may be less biased than I am). And that's probably because, in practice, I'm more of a runner than a walker. When it comes to exercise, I like to sweat, a lot, and enjoy being pushed to my limits. While I understand and preach that walking is AWESOME EXERCISE, I do it more as a means to an end instead of a workout. Walking, for me, is to let my dog get out and sniff around or to hand deliver a DVD to my local video store. But, I have a feeling I'm in the minority here...

Despite what I said above, if I was giving advice to myself, I'd tell myself to lay off all the high-intensity cardio and go for a walk on occasion. — Jenn
