So, I am taking baby steps but getting into the routine of walking again. I take the U-line bus to-from Stanford's campus and before I would hop on the Marguerritte to get to my office. Sometimes, In the mornings I'd walk from the Main quad (where the bus dropped off), but wasn't making that a routine. I've set a goal to walk to and from now and so far I do this at least 3 times a week.
I average 30 minutes of walking daily from this activity and 2 thousand steps.
That is great! Walking is a great way to be active, get some fresh air, stay and shape and enjoy your surroundings! I see that your goal is to get fit/get in shape. When I started an exercise plan to lose a large amount of weight three years ago, I started with walking on the treadmill. The walking, with an improved diet, played a major role in helping me lose 40+ over 18 months. Now, walking is for exercise and enjoyment for me. Keep up the great work!
It was nice to read your post. Always feels good to see someone exercising regularly. This goes a long way for a healthy living. Keep us posted on how you are doing.
Excellent goal! Isn't it fun to see the steps add up? I assume that you use a pedometer since you know the count. You can take one or two brief walking breaks during the day to add even more steps.
I'm Walking!
