That's how my run went today.. for half of it I was HOT until I took my sweet Oikos beanie and North Face fleece off, then after running for a while, I was COLD!. Anyone have advice on how to dress to run in the winter?? I'm way clueless.
Despite my temp changes, I managed to do a little under 5 miles. I ran today because I was a bad instructor and canceled step class today. The mic is broken yet again and I didn't have it in me to spend another class yelling. Class is also in a basketball court where the acoustics are less than stellar and I definitely need a mic for anyone to hear me.... Humbug.
To rewind a little...
I woke up to a breakfast cookie and a new snowman mug! Oh how I love love love snowmen

Even though the b-fast cookies usually fill me up wonderfully, I was still a little hungry, so I grabbed a macaroon that was taunting me and a date:

I ran a lot of errands, did the upper body Winsor pilates dvd (which I loved!!!), then finished it out with 1 set of 30 counter pushups (just stand close to the kitchen counter, position your arms and take a few steps away from the counter), 3 sets of 12 chair tricep dips, and 3 sets of "swimming" for 45 seconds. I actually got a great upper body workout right here at the casa :D
Jeni and I walked our puppies together, then it was time for some lonchi.
I made some raw vegan mac and cheese!
I can't post the recipe since it's not mine, but you can find it in "Everyday Raw" by Michael Kenney.

And a huge salad with tomatoes and TJ's Goddess dressing:

I studied like a maniac and started to feel snacky, so I made some popcorn with no oil, sprayed it with Pam and topped it with nutritional yeast and sea salt (an idea I got from Megan). All I did was put 1/4 cup dry organic popcorn kernels in a paper bag, folded the top over, and popped it for 2 minutes.
CHEESY POPCORN!

An awesome study snack for those of us who like to get more bang for our calorie buck :D
I went for my hot and cold run, then off to school.
For dinner, I had a Clif bar from the wonderful Gliding Calm:

A baked apple: (sprayed with Pam, microwaved for 4 minutes and topped with cinnamon)

And a little Merlot:

Nothing says classy like wine and a Clif bar, eh? ;)
I'm off to bed! Hope you've all had a happy Tuesday! The school finish line is almost here!!!
Hasta luego,
G$
