how much protein to build muscle
Everyone wants to know how much protein you need to build muscle.
Honestly, we don't need as much as most people think. I actually give you table for deciding how much protein that we should take post workout in my Physique Formula ebook. The amount of protein that we take in is dependent on how much carbs we are eating that day.
See carbs are protein spraing which means that the carbs get used for energy. In addition, when carbs are present we can actually eat less protein.
Why?
More protein is getting converted to muscle due to the insulin that is present from our carbs. Less protein can be broken down for energy as well which means more protein can be used to build muscle.
I'd love to give you a definitive answer but it all depends on the carbs we take in.
