Now, you have probably built some muscles but you have a lot of excess body fat around you. What should you do? There are so many people around the world who want to look lean and ripped but just can’t attain it. Not much people know of this 1 method that is way better at burning fat than doing long and slow cardio. Let me introduce you to high intensity interval training!

Hign intensity interval training is probably one of the best thing you would love. Also known as HIIT, the high intensity interval training is actually a type of exercise strategy that actually improves your performance with short training sessions. HIIT is a form of cardio, performed at interval with HIGH intensity. You may involve a warmup and a cooldown period in it too.

Due to the intensity of such training, you would require a long time to recover so it is best to perform it about 3 times a week.

Let me introduce you 1 simple example of a HIIT session:

Do rounds of

  • Burpees X 10 - 12
  • Inclined Pullups X 10 - 15
  • Squats X 10 - 12
  • Push ups X 10 - 12

You may take short resting periods of about 30-40 secs after completing the round at least 4 -5 times.

As you get fitter, you may increase the intensity. Take note that this is only 1 example of a HIIT session. You can improvise different exercises to suit your needs like sprinting or jogging.

What are the benefits of HIIT?

1) HIIT has been proven to burn fat more effectively than long aerobic workouts
2) HIIT is able to improve your sprinting capability and sports performance
3) HIIT reduces your hunger
4) HIIT improves your aerobic recovery abilities
5) HIIT helps to tone your muscles
6) HIIT does not use your muscle for energy as compared to long and slow cardio

After knowing so much benefit HIIT can provide you, aren’t you just hoping to start your HIIT session now?
