Ok…you caught me! I took a little hiatus from blogging. It wasn’t intentional, but after a little while of not posting I wanted to think hard about coming back to the blog or not. Blogging may seem easy, but it actually takes up a lot of time. In addition to writing the posts, there is also the taking and editing of the pictures and any research, etc. I have been enjoying going out to dinner and not having to take a picture of my meal before eating it or documenting every aspect of my life. After a lot of consideration, I’ve decided…
…to come back to the blog! I’ve always been a huge believer in not blogging if you don’t have anything to say. When I started the blog two years ago, I often blogged several times a day including meals, workouts, fun activities, etc. The blog has evolved because I’m not longer a student with tons of free time. I’m working 40-60 hours a week, sometimes cooking (but more often than not eating lean cuisines and sandwiches), and when I’ve been going out I wanted to let loose and leave my camera at home.
After two months off I’ve come to realize that I do miss the blog. I miss the readers, I miss looking back on my life and saying…hey I remember when I did that! That was great! Or that was a tough time…but look how I pushed through. Or maybe times that I’ve failed….and I can try to challenge myself to try it again and make it happen. Come to think of it…what did I do in the last 60 days? I seriously have no idea?
I’ve also been getting quite a bit of backlash from friends and family, Sometimes you don’t know who is even reading your blog until you stop updating! So going forward you guys can expect a few posts a week for me. Probably not every day, but most days should include a post if you are interested in checking in.
Lots of exciting things are happening these days, and I can’t wait to share them with you!
Dear Readers,
