In other news, my beautiful godchild, London Nichelle, recently turned 1. And I am also planning a wedding for next summer (2011).
Regardless of all that I have going on, I still want to be healthy and active, but I have had a big hurdle in the last couple of months--namely, I have not been able to run yet . Well, I did get medical clearance, but sadly, will need a second opinion. This has me quite discouraged in the exercise department. I feel quite sluggish lately, to tell you the truth.
I was telling Taj last night that I think I've been staying away because I feel like a real poser, writing about exercise when I haven't been doing it as much. BUT, I want to. Taj is going to help me get my act together, and hopefully you will too! The plan for now is to get into a routine that includes light cardio (biking, walking, elliptical machine) and strength training (weights, yoga/Pilates) at least three times a week.
Yesterday I hit up the Fort Greene Crunch for a quick workout (10 mins elliptical, 5 mins stairmaster, 12x2 bicep curls, 15x2 dumbbell rows, 12 x2 lunges, and a few ab exercises.) It felt great!
So anyway, I have missed you guys, but I am back.
