Every so many years, hula hoops seem make a comeback. I just read an article in a Kansas newspaper about the hula fitness trend. San Fransisco’s Christabel Zamor gets a nod for her HoopGirl products, DVDs and instructor certification programs. I’m not sure how widespread the movement really is, do you know? Anyone reading this doing it? I am sure from past experience that hula hoping is a workout. Apparently, Jo Ellis, a Lawrence parks recreation instructor, concurs. “Trust me, if you do it for six minutes, you’re sweating,” Ellis told the Lawrence Journal-World & News.
