Have You Got Squats?

Posted by Angie Schumacher Healthy Living ProfessionalHealth Maven

I LOVE SQUATS…let me say it just one more time…. I LOVE SQUATS!

You could ask any one of my clients what we do and they will tell you “squats, lots and lots of squats..oh and lunges..lots of lunges too!” Why might we do lots of squats and lunges? Because they are GOOD for you! What woman does not want a nice, round sexy booty! Well by doing squats and lunges, you will definitely get those results!

Today I am going to show you the correct for for doing a squat.

SB Squat
SB Squat 2
If you are beginner, you can do Stability Ball Wall Squats, that will help you with your form.

For intermediate fitness enthusiast, you can do the Body Weight Squat or Squats with a barbell or dumb bell, the same goes for Advanced fitness enthusiasts. Check out the video below for correct form:

Right on Angie...men too can benefit greatly from this as well. As a skier it is one of the best exercises one can do for leg and glute strength. I need it for those rare (laugh) occasions I find it necessary to get back up onto my feet. It also helps strengthen the lower back. Thanks for sharing.
Is it strange to admit that I have a Love-Hate relationship with Squats? When I was going to 24 Hr Fitness a few years back, I'd always tell people how much I hated doing squats but when I was working out, I'd always head over to "Squat Corner" for my lower body workout sessions. I agree on the Stability Ball...I have been contemplating getting one but space is limited in my home (very limited) and storing it for the 23 hours I won't be using it will be tricky. The S.B.'s are very versatile so if I can find a way to keep the cat away from it with her sharp claws and teeth, it might be worth the investment. Thank you for the post and have a great weekend!

They didn't post the video, so here is the link to it:
