(The hubby's dinner from last night: Shrimp and Prosciutto Penne Pasta. I thought it looked pretty tasty so I took a pic)

Good morning!!

Hope everyone is having a good day so far- I know I am :) That is because I woke up toTHIS:

003The No-Bake Breakfast Cookie!!!  *cheers and does a little dance*

That little (well, pretty sizeable) cookie is my new favorite. I'm sorry if you guys get sick of seeing it on my blog, but I have a good feeling it will become my standard breakfast.I'm gonna add the recipe to my recipe page(which I've been a huge slacker with), but if you would like the recipe I posted it yesterday morning. I found it's easier to mix the dry ingredients and the peanut butter first, so the peanut butter gets crumbly, in a bowl and then add the milk. Mix it up well and then plop the mixture onto a small plate and flatten with the back of the spoon. I used my fingers to make it more of a circle shape and ensure it was totally flat. Then put it in the fridge overnight. Eaten with a spoon, it's absolutely incredible.

I woke up pretty early this morning so I could run the 5k trail on base. When I got up (about 7:30) it was already getting hot and knew by the time I got to base it would be blazing outside. SoI took the puppies on a nice, long walkand they loved it-- they were trotting around so adorably. I haven't been walking them much lately in the mornings (just at night) because it's been so hot during the day, so today was a nice little treat for them :) Then I went to the gym forcardio and abs.

Cardio and Abs:
Stairmaster30 minutes (Speed Intervals, level 7)
Frog crunches3 sets of 12
Oblique circles3 sets of 10 on each side
Stability ball sit-ups3 sets of 12
Treadmill30 minutes (mix of speed intervals, hills, steady state; average speed 5.5, average incline 4.0%)
Pilates roll-ups6 lb medicine ball, 3 sets of 10
Sprinters1 set of 10 on each side
Ab crunch machine35 lbs, 3 sets of 12

Total time: 1 hr 25 min

It was a pretty intense workout! It was one of those mornings when I didn't feel so great when I first got there, but after the first 5 minutes on the Stairmaster, I was ready to push myself.

Snack:

004

005  1/2 tbs of Publix peanut butter (I actually put the tub back in the fridge after I got my scoop out! Usually I pick at it a little :)  )

Well I'm gonna do a little shopping (house stuff) and a lot of errands!! I'm also hoping to make it to yoga today - I haven't gone in a while.

Hope you have a great day!

See ya soon,

G
