Good news

Posted Jan 29 07 6:06am by Julie K.

A week of letting my back recover made a difference. It feels MUCH better and I went back to the gym this morning. I rode the exercise bike and then spent time stretching -- with a focus on hamstrings. Still looking for a great stretching routine that will keep me doing it -- if anyone has good ideas.

Stretching is key to good flexibilty - more so after a workout than before. Core strength can also go a long way in preventing back pain. Here are 2 links to injury prevention guides. The first one has strengthening exercises as well as a stretching guide (a foam roller is a great tool to use). The second one is a core strength guide.
