So I’ve been doing an experiment since the middle of August. Since I had my youngest 2.5 years ago I have not been able to get rid of my pouchy tummy. Countless Ab exercises, planks, and a Body Fat of 17.5% and it still looks like I am about 3 months preggo by the end of the day . I also always had what felt like bubbles in my tummy at the end of the day and I would be really gassy.
I never made an appointment with a Doctor. I’d honestly have to find out I wanted to go to and make the appointment and while our copay is small I would probably have to pay new patient fees and I just don’t like to pay those.
Anyway, after some internet “research” I decided that going gluten free might be a great option for me. I have to get gluten free stuff for my youngest anyway so it’s not a new area of the store.
I did really well for the first week, and than we went out of town to visit Grandparents and so I wasn’t able to eat Gluten free there. Came back and since than I have done pretty well. Since I don’t have an actual bad reaction to gluten I have not made it a big deal if I had to eat something with gluten. I do have my own bread, pasta, and stay away from all the regular snacks and cereal in the house. I make my own pancakes and I pretty much have no craving for snacks anymore. If I do I eat something else. I feel like the 3 p.m. slump in gone, which used to get me every day. I also am not as bloated anymore, and the only pudge that is left on my belly is just fat for the most part.
That’s basically it. I will eventually get to a dr and have tests done and such, but for now I will keep doing what I am doing so that I can keep the bloat away. I also read on Following Fit that if you drink water during meals that it can inhibit digestion and lead to bloating, so I will be trying this also to see if it helps.
Anybody else have any ideas as to help get rid of the bloat?
