I have to start this post by saying that as a Canadian I had Thanksgiving a month or so ago but today the US is celebrating a huge day of Thanksgiving.
We spend a lot of time in the stresses of life. There are work commitments, family challenges and lifestyle issues. I write here primarily about weight loss and health and even these issues are full of stress as people try to make their lives better and sometimes we just forget what we already have.
I sometimes tell my kids that they live the greatest lifestyle in the history of the planet. They don’t realize it or get what I mean but let’s just unpack this and put it in perspective.
I can only speak of where I come from, but it is probably pretty good I think. I work a lot 8hours at work and a few more blogging and writing articles everyday and I go to sleep tired. But when I don’t grumble or dream of a better life here are the things that I think about.
I have to say that I have a lot to be thankful for. Are you recognizing, really recognizing what you are thankful for today, those things that you are taking for granted but maybe just for one day see all those things that are picking you up and holding you. As you try and support everyone else and help others every other day of the year you should take at least one day every now and then to make sure that you recognize who helps you, how grateful you are for the life that you have TODAY and thank all of those people.
