Get Fit with Your Local Library

Posted by Mary Ann P.

Okay, as far as I know libraries have not started offering Pilates classes. But, in case it's been a few years since you visited one, they do allow you to check out exercise videos. If you are in the store or online shopping it is hard to know which video will be right for you. Or maybe you are tired of your regular routine and want a change. Visit your local library. You can try out anything they have free of charge and you can't beat that. I have one video I can't do without and I found it at my local library. Rael Pilates System 17 (http://raelpilates.com/17.asp) led by Rael Isacowitz. The simple movements and excellent cuing leave you refreshed at the end and knowing you did a real workout the next day. What's your favorite workout video?

Looking for exercise videos and DVDs in your local library is a great idea! Another cool way to get a great workout I've learned is by using free podcasts available on iTunes. They've got all different types of offerings-yoga, pilates and more.
If you have Dish and DVR, then check out the excercise channel and TiVo it. Then you can have lots of favorites available whenever you want.
