Forbidden City is The History's Spark Work

Posted Sep 06 2013 6:56am

What an impressive piece of history the Forbidden City is. Even though renovations were going on, I loved seeing it. We were there for hours. A sad note, one young woman selling souvenirs and post cards at the gate to the city, told me she has never been inside. Ticket price was too expensive for her.
We got this tour online from the local travel agency. The trip advisor said that the costs of this tour could be paid directly to the guide, so we felt relieved. We did not need any prepaid or something like that. Overall, I trusted this agency for the first time since the staffs were really nice to me.
So, here we go, we arrived at Beijing about last month and directly went to our hotel in the downtown. The flight to Beijing went really smooth and the airport was really clean too. My family and I, we did eat our first lunch in Beijing at the airport, interesting. We all stayed in a pretty nice hotel very close to Tiannenmen Square and the Forbidden City Beijing. Very nice place since it was also near from Wangfujing Street and the center of the city. On the first day our Forbidden City Tour, our guide picked us up right in front of our hotel. Yes, she greeted us friendly and introduced herself. Before visited Mutianyu, we did visit Ming Tombs, a huge tomb complex, 13 Ming Dynasty emperor tombs which located surrounded by mountainous area.
