There are numerous websites dedicated to used equipment but after paying shipping & handling you may not save all that much.

Here’s a few places to check out locally for good deals on used fitness equipment:

• Shop (or call) around to used sporting goods stores
• Visit used book stores (lots have DVD’s and videos too)
• Join your local FreeCycle Group
• Check out Craigslist.org
• Call local gyms and ask if they sell used equipment, it can’t hurt to ask
• Scan (or search online) the classifieds of your local papers, including classifieds-only papers
• Garage Sales, another place where online classifieds can save you time
