There have been previous studies confirming how exercise helps reduce the effects of mild to moderate depression. A new study by a Swedish researcher helps explain further the link between exercise and depression. The study found that exercise and antidepressants stimulate the production of new brain cells in an area of the brain that is important to memory and learning. This research also found that exercise is a very good complement to antidepressant medicines.
