Everyday feels like Saturday, VitaClay Slow Cooker and Blogerversary Winners Part 1!
Posted Dec 23 2013 6:00am
It’s Monday but right now every day feels like Saturday, at least for the next 2 weeks! It’s wonderful! What am I loving so far? No alarms to be set until January 6th! We aren’t the kind of family to sleep in but just waking up at 6:30 is a gift right now!
I had two wonderful treadmill runs this weekend! A 6 1/2 mile run on Saturday and a 4 mile run on Sunday. It’s this time of year when I am most thankful for my treadmill. Although with all this time off I am planning to try out some classes at the Y!
What else am I excited for? Sara’s school is in session part time for the next two weeks so the Hubs and I will have some day dates! On the agenda for today is a class together at the Y, seeing the movie American Hustle and buying new running shoes for both of us!
I made a new and fantastic kale and brussels sprouts salad on Saturday night! I can’t wait to share the recipe with you guys soon! Yep, this salad has both kale and brussels sprouts! Delish!

On my list this week is to make rice, oatmeal and dinner in it! The beauty of this device is that is takes traditional slow cooking time and cuts them in half. What I also love is that you can set it to start cooking at a certain time! So, steel cut oatmeal…want it for breakfast? Set it to start cooking while you are sleeping so that it’s perfect when you wake up!
This one machine is a slow cooker, rice cooker, steamer and yogurt maker all in ONE!
The all-natural clay-cooking bowl promotes uniform cooking, and the double-lid design not only creates micro-pressure to maximize tender and flavorful food, but cuts slow cooking energy and time in half! Whole meals and side dishes can be made in as little as 30 minutes from scratch. I can’t wait to try a few things in it and will keep you guys posted!
Before we go I want to announce a couple of winners! I’ll do this in batches this week since I had so many giveaways!
The winner of the Cuties Giveaway for a case of Cuties is #12 Georgiana
The Tommie Cooper Compression Winner is #527 Erican Agran
Congrats ladies! Be on the lookout for an email from me!
To all who are celebrating Christmas this week have a wonderful holiday!
