Last night Joe and I went with my parents to a great event hosted by the Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field. It was an event to support and spread awareness for breast cancer. The Eagles did a great job. There was delicious, yet unique, food, a nice raffle, live music, and even some players there.
Sweet Potato Fries
Asian style chicken strips with sesame seeds
Grilled Cheese with tomato bites
Pulled Pork
Crab Cakes
Bruschetta
Spinach and Artichoke Dip
Cotton Candy and Mini Cupcakes for dessert
Seriously…when was the last time you all ate cotton candy. It was amazing. I ate the entire container in record time.
As I was taking cotton candy to the face these Eagles cheerleaders came over. I silently reminded myself to work out EXTRA hard tomorrow…
Then my Dad got his picture taken with Eagles player Jamar Chaney
After sampling all of the food, it was raffle time!!! They gave away about 7 prizes, and we were lucky enough to win one!
We got the Eagles women’s prize pack. We all split the goodies. A bedazzled Eagles coffee mug for my mom (which if you knew her there could not be a more perfect gift), a t-shirt for me, a hat for the family, and a bucket that I think my Dad was eyeing up as an ice bucket for parties.
The band didn’t start playing until 7:30 which we thought was weird (because then they only would play for an hour). Once they started playing we stayed for a little bit, but it was REALLY loud. Too loud for the space and since I am like a deaf old lady, I couldn’t hear anyone or hold a conversation.
All in all an excellent night! Big thanks to the Eagles for having us!!!
