Don't Be That Guy! - Shrugs

Posted Nov 29 2008 12:25pm

Don't be that Guy is dedicated to helping prevent common mistakes made at the gym. Through this post you will maximize your workouts, become a savvy exerciser, improve your health club etiquette and most importantly ensure you won't be THAT GUY OR GIRL!

Today's Guy:

'Shrug Guy!'

There are so many things about 'Shrug Guy' that are just plain wrong, where do I even begin?

This time I'm not even talking about his frightening tan, itsy bitsy teenie weenie vertically striped spandex shorts, Superman (hair) curl, or oiled up Slip n' Slide chest...

I am not sure what Shrug Guy's motivation is to do thisrisky exercise. Maybe he wants a thicker neck tointimidateany turtleneck sweater he ever comes across. Maybe he wants to be able to raise his shoulders at asuper fast rateto be the next Justin Timberlake back-up dancer. Maybe it is purely hisonly excuseto ever use 70, 80, or 90 lbs dumbbells!

Whatever it is - there is agreater risk than benefitto do this exercise regularly.

Come back tomorrow to learn why!
