Fat Burning Foods

It is clear that some foods are better choices than others and some should be avoided all together. Some foods are actually in the super-food category when it comes to eliminating fat and unveiling your abs. In the Abs Diet, by Men’s Health magazine’s editor-in-chief, David Zinczenko gives us 12 super-foods. Every meal should include at least 2 from the list. You can eat as many as you would like, because the more super foods you eat, the better your results.

Planning – The Missing Ingredient

One fundamental element of a successful fat loss plan that is missed by many is planning ahead. Has this happened to you? You start your new diet with great enthusiasm only to get a few days into it and find that your cupboard and refrigerator are empty. This step is essential to your success.

What About Exercise?

While diet is the key to six pack abs, it is not enough. Exercise that stimulates muscle growth and puts your body into a mode where it burns fat for fuel is also necessary. Interval training is the solution. Interval training consists of short intense workouts performed three days a week with a day or two of rest in between workouts. Interval training is performed by doing a short, intense interval at close to your maximum effort followed by a longer rest interval. This sequence is repeated eight to ten times. Interval training on the treadmill is a great way to get started. Warm-up for two to three minutes at a low intensity level.
