Day 23: Spraining but training

Woke up this morning and my wrist was just killing me. Not sure what has happened but I remember the barbell slipping yesterday as I re-racked it from squats.

I dithered about what to do, train and make it worse or take the day off with no gains. I posted on the Mens Health web forum but then staring up at me from my cupboard was the answer. Boxing wrist straps. I just strapped it up to give it support and lifted anyway. The pain was bearable and I don't think I have really done any damage.

I went back to the gym a few hours later for the body combat class.

It's only a short one today guys as I left my camera phone at the gym!

Workout Summary : Chest Session
  • 4PM Weight lifting [60 mins PE 10]
    • Incline Bench Press w/barbell [4 sets 8 reps 60KG]
    • Bench Press w/barbell [4 sets 8 reps 75KG]
    • Incline Bench Press w/dumbell [4 sets 8 reps 24KG]
    • Lying Dumbell Flyes [4 sets 8 reps 12KG]
    • Press ups till failure [22 full reps]
  • 8PM HIIT
    • Body Combat [50 mins PE 8]

Not sure if I have made my wrist worse or not..
