Burning Some Fat and Dropping Some Pounds!

So I have let myself go a bit. Been super busy with the marketing of my ebook and boot camps, just haven’t left much time for myself, but that is all going to change.

New house, new goals, new life=NEW ME!

I have challenged a client for the next 2 weeks to 10-120 minutes of intervals, 6 times a week. I am on day #4 of intervals and doing great! I have done most of my intervals on the treadmill, but also did some KB swings along with step ups. This morning I got up to 6.5 mph. Seriously haven’t ever been able to get that high due to my back/hip pain. I also contribute my endurance for intervals to the boot camp workouts. I used to hate doing intervals…and probably because they were hard and now I am doing longer, higher intensity, elevated intervals at 6.5! I rock… boot camp rocks!

I haven’t had a lot of time this week to get in full workouts, so have been doing 2 exercises together that I feel I can get a total body workout in. Today’s workout was:

Superset 3x

Reverse Lunge with Cable Row  8×20 each

Walking Lunge with Ab Twist

Followed by the intervals on the treadmill. Not to mention the tons of stairs in my new home, which we  had NONE on the other home! My calves are getting a great workout for sure!

I also tried out the ePulse Heart Rate Moniter. It doesn’t have an chest strap, just attaches to your forearm. At first I didn’t think it was going to stay in place, but I tightened it a bit and had no problems with it at all.  I didn’t have  alot of time to mess with it and make sure it was all set up right, just for today wanted to see how my HR was. During the strength training part, HR got up to about 140 at times, but during the intervals I got it up to 170 at the high intensity and the last one I ran all out and got it up to 175 which is about 90% of my MHR, not to bad! Good to know as well, think I will be using this more often and will keep you update on the other features as I get the time to use them!
