When you tell people you write a fitness blog they tend to ask you advice. When your friends also know you are a reading teacher, they want you to check out their newest workout book.
Last week my friend Emily gave me the book 8 Minutes in the Morning and asked me if it "sounded like a good workout." To be honest, anything that is based on good, sound diet with a blend of healthy cardio exercise and weight lifting is healthy. I was curious about this book, after all an 8 minutes workout would be awesome on those hard-to-fit-it-in days.
The book was interesting and easy to read. It breaks down diet and exercise in an easy to read fashion, and offers a many good exercises that allow the reader to complete a quick workout. The best thing about the workouts is that it is easy to fit them in. While the workouts were not particularly hard, I could tell I was toning my muscles.
If you are looking for a quick and easy guide to fast workouts with a sensible low-fat diet, this might be the book for you. Of course, check with the doctor first, but this book contains an easy plan that allows you to start your journey to life long fitness.
