I am privileged to have my birthday fall within the most honored month of the year for Black people—Black History Month, which is celebrated each February.
This year, I’ve decided to enrich and enhance February’s celebration by including fitness and ways to get healthier. So please allow me to introduce Black Fitness Month.
For too long we’ve all hear about the rising obesity rates in the U.S. The Black community has been especially hard hit. Let’s face it, our culture promotes more eating and less moving, which eventually leads to a heavier US!
I’ve personally had enough, so I’m doing something about it. I’ve set up this challenge to help us ALL get healthier. Yes, its targeted at my people—Black people, but we all really need help, so don’t wait another second, join in!
What are you waiting for? All you have to lose is the weight and some unhealthy habits you didn’t want anyway!
