1. Provides stability and support to the pelvis and spine 2. Thought to be where all movement comes from 3. Allows the limbs to move more efficiently 4. Prevents foot, knee, hip, and lower back pain
And here are the exercises I took the runners through
Side Plank w/ leg and arm variations
Front Plank w/ leg abduction and hip extension
Push-up Plank w/ opposite knee to elbow drive
Impressive plank I'm doing, huh? Not cause of my form, but the skinny khakis...they look great.
After all the presentations, I took a picture with fellow presenters,Sarah Stanley (extreme athlete) and Robert Gillanders (physical therapist). Love the picture, but disappointed to place first for the 'shiniest face' award.
Next I got into core exercises with the group...

1. Provides stability and support to the pelvis and spine
2. Thought to be where all movement comes from
3. Allows the limbs to move more efficiently
4. Prevents foot, knee, hip, and lower back pain
