Back to Work and Working Out!

Posted Jan 04 2010 5:33pm
Today has been a pretty great day overall. It stinked that I had to get up at the normal time but overall it was a good day. I had an Omega-3 Chocolate Chip Granola Bar for breakfast and my usual chocolate coffee (a packet of sugar free hot chocolate and a mug of coffee). I also eased into the work day and set up my list of things to do after returning from winter break. I actually accomplished a lot today and did a lot of research on the GRE and graduate school including sending an e-mail to get more information and a little advisement on the programs.

For lunch I spent some time catching up with my co-workers after a hectic break.  I also enjoyed a serving of the Doctor Kracker Fire Roasted Crackers that were sent to me right before break.  They are SO good with a nice cheesy flavor and a big crunch.  They paired perfectly with my Dr. McDougall's Ready to Serve Minestrone Soup that I also got last month.  Paired with a La Croix orange it was a perfect lunch on a chilly day in January while dishing about the holidays!

My workout tonight was just a short one to ease myself back into running and it was a nice, leisurely 2 miles followed up by a light strength workout.  I did some ab work but I'm hoping to whittle my middle when the hubs gets home from the neighborhood meeting in a few. I am also really excited to start logging my miles on the Runners Day-By-Day Log 2010 Calendar that my in-laws got me for Christmas!  I'm also logging non-running workouts so that I can track my training.  I'd like to hit at least 500 miles this year (if not 1000) so only 498 to go!  :D

How was the first Monday of 2010 for you?
