Are their Calories in Food?

Are supplements necessary? How much vitamin "C" should I take? What is the best protein supplement to take? Do you recommend taking supplements? Is this multi-vitamin good? What do you think of this product? All good questions and just a sampling of the hundreds of questions I am asked with regards to supplements and nutrition in general. No question is stupid, but the question itself will let you know the level of knowledge an individual has about nutrition and or supplementation. As the following illustrates;



Recently shared to me by one of my clients, that was asked of her as she was helping a relative with some dietary concerns;

"Are their calories in food?"

Some of my long term clients find themselves becoming Personal Trainers for their friends and family. I take pride in knowing that I have empowered my clients with the knowledge to answer a fitness and/or nutrition related question. As they tell me the story I learn very quickly whether I have taught them well or not.
