Ab Fat Risk And Reduction

The risk of obesity is a problem that people throughout the world face. Fat unapologetically kills millions every year. You probably already know this. But, what you may not know is ab fat is possibly the most dangerous fat of all.

We all know that ab fat is not the most attractive thing in the world. Thousands of books, magazines, articles, infomercials, and more focus on the reduction of ab fat to form a hot sexy mid-section. What they don’t focus on is the health risk of carrying around a lot of abdominal fat.

There are two kinds of fat in the area surrounding your abs. Research has shown one of these to be particularly dangerous to your health.

The first layer of fat hides the ab muscles you so desperately want to show off. Making up 80% of your bodies fat the subcutaneous fat lays just beneath the skin. When people talk about body fat percentage this is the type of fat they are referring to.

Visceral fat is the other type of fat in the area of the abs. This fat is deep inside packed in between the internal organs. The average non active person piles on four pounds of this dangerous fat per year. Women may experience this type of fat in the hips and buttocks. Also known as the apple or pear shape. Men usually see the effects of this fat as a pot or beer belly. Instead of being flabby this fat often feels hard when you push on it.

Both types of fat are dangerous. However, scientific research is constantly learning more about how bad visceral fat really is.

Inflammatory diseases affect most people at some point in their life. Among them are cancer, alzheimer’s, arthritisand heart disease. Research has shown obesity to play a major role in these diseases. Visceral fat is a major driving force, releasing excess amount of inflammatory messengers. In the proper balance these messengers are the key to our immune system. In excess they slowly destroy the body.

So as you can see reducing your abdominal fat isn’t just about looking good. It’s literally vital to living a long healthy life. By losing that ugly abdominal weight you will create a healthier life for yourself. Also you will be on your way to achieving hot sexy abs that will make you proud and will have the opposite sex drooling. So remember when your in the gym the should not be an afterthought, but a part of your overall workout program.

Now it’s time to get to work. Sorry to say but the ab fads, diets, gimmicks, and contraptions don’t work. Stop looking for the easy button. That said it you learn the proper way to eat and workout for ab success you can see results in a short amount of time.

Don’t fall into the trap of doing thousands of sit-ups and hours of cardio. After all most of the people you know who do these things don’t have the ultimate abs. If you want to really have success then you need to follow sound nutritional advice and use strategic . Try and do this on your own and you will probably give up before you succeed. Why is this?

It is no longer about whether you want to rip off your shirt and have others drool over your abs. I want that to happen for you, but as you have seen there are serious health issues involved as well. So stay focused and never give up. Your body will thank you for it.
