There's a tried and true favorite where you lay on the mat, flat on your back, with your legs in the air perpendicular tothe mat. Then you alternate reaching for your toes. It's tough, but it's a good exercise!
Yea I have to switch my ab routine every month or so because my body gets used to them quick and I stop feeling soreness and burn (not cool). I feel the best burn doing double crunches or planks.
