Today my relatively new $1000.00 Mountain Bike was stolen! This bike was my baby, I used it to go everywhere and now it is gone. Boo hoo, I know. But the fact is it really put me in a bad mood. Such a bad mood that I didn't want to go to the gym today! I talked myself into going to blow off some steam and make myself happy again, so I ended up going. Hooray for me, I know.
Anyways, the point I am making is despite the crap that life throws at you, I stayed true to my goals and kept plugging away. Now, it wasn't a great workout, I classified it as bad, but a bad workout is better than no workout. What made it a bad workout? During this workout I suffered a cut kick to my ciatic nerve which is making me walk with a limp now. And I have a black eye. Boy, what a day. I also felt a little weak in the weight room but whatever.
Now for the good stuff, here is what I did:
Warmup:
95lbs Barbell Circuit 3 sets x 5 reps: stiff legged deadlifts, rows, high pulls, front squat, over head press, good mornings
Strength:
Barbell Clean into full Front Squat into Overhead Press 8 sets x 2 reps
Cleans 1 x 5, Front Squat 1 x 5, Overhead Press 1 x 5 (I was running out of time before the Thai Boxing class)
Thai Boxing:
Jogging, sprints, pushups, footwork, kicks, knees, jumps, all done in circuit training fashion.
Skipping, sprinting
Abwork
Boxing drills
Kicking drills
Sparring (black eye, hurt my leg)
Hell, at least I hit the gym!
