5 Negatives Of NES And Arm Fat

Posted Jul 06 2010 1:12am

Losing arm fat can be tough. And if you have night eating syndrome (NES) it will be that much tougher. What is night eating syndrome? It’s when you have an excess of food late at night without restraint. Unfortunately, this leads to massive gains of arm fat.

Now I strongly believe that in this day and age more women are suffering from night eating syndrome than ever before. Why? Because we have become so busy that breakfast has become a thing of the past.

And without the breakfast of a king, you’re going to eat way too much once night time rolls around. Not a good scenario if you want to lose arm fat ASAP

Now here are 5 reasons why NES (night eating syndrome) leads to excess arm fat:

1. Excessive lean tissue loss. Right after you wake up cortisol is peaking. This hormone cannibalizes your muscle for energy. What’s the best way to prevent this? By having a big breakfast upon waking. And remember that less muscle mass translates into less calories burned around the clock.

2. Poor insulin functioning. Unfortunately, having very little food during the earlier part of the day will mess up your body’s ability to interact with insulin efficiently. What does this mean? More nutrients going to arm fat cells

3. Negative mental states. Skip breakfast and your mood will be lower than it could be. Multiple research studies have shown that people who eat early in the day have much higher levels of mental positivity.

4. Extra arm fat storage. If only you could process all that food when you’re sleeping. But you can’t. Having a lot of food in your stomach right before bed will lead to extra arm fat storage. Why? Because your body processes nutrients at half its regular rate when you sleep.

5. Less movement. Altered insulin functioning caused by skipping breakfast will leave you with lower levels of energy for the rest of the day. And if your levels of energy are low, you’ll want to stay seated and not move around. This translates into less calories (and arm fat) burned.

Night eating syndrome is a huge obstacle for getting rid of arm fat. If you have it, please start eating earlier in the day. This will provide some huge advantages for getting those toned arms you so desperately deserve. Not only that, but your quality of life will increase dramatically.
