One of the biggest mistakes people make is skipping meals. They think if they skip a meal they will decrease the amount of calories they put into their bodies and lose weight that way. This is totally wrong; because once you skip meals your body goes into starvation mode and takes energy from your lean muscle. Lean muscle burns fat so if your body is getting energy from your muscles your metabolism will eventually slow down because your decreasing your lean muscle.

Its not easy for anyone to know how long it will take them to see an increase in their metabolism. Many factors have to be accounted for including age, height, gender, and exercise intensity. You obviously don’t have control over some of those factors but you can adjust the ones you can control (exercise and healthy eating).
