what are te side effects of coming off of dilantin?

i am coming off of dilantin and they are weaning me off. it is only going to take a month to get off and i am in my third week. i can not find answers about side effects of coming off of the medication. i have horrrible headaches and am getting dizzy and light headed. i have been on this medicatin for a year and am wondering if they should have weened me off slower and if what i am feeling is normal?
