my boyfriend is a heavy smoker and drinker. seems to be having seizures after he has a coughing fit. can you tell me what this

This seems to be only happening after he had been out drinking heavily.  He is a 2 pack a day smoker at least.  he will start coughing and then the eyes roll to the back of the head, he goes rigid, and non responsive.  he does not remember the episodes, and gets mad at me when i try to explain what is going on.  please advise
