I had a brain tumour removed in April of 08 and was doing very well. In December of 08 I ended up in the hospital with a gran mall seizure.
I was put on dilantin 400 mg a day. Besides being dizzy, upset stomach, sore facial muscles and just plain super tired since I have been on this medication, I feel like I am living in a world where I have no energy and feel just plain yukki.
I have been off work since December and at this point feel not well enough to go back to work. I experience major numbness in my leg every 2nd or 3rd day and will get very dizzy , get a sore neck experience double vision every 3rd or 4th day. It takes about 15 minutes and I am supertired after this occurences.
MY home physician is not very familiar with seizures and at this point she has me taking 200 mg of dilantin in the morning 100mg at about 3 and 100 mg at around 8 pm. At this pointI need some relieve or suggestions as this is not working for me. My last bloodtest level sowed I was at 31.
I see the neurologist on the 28th, but that is a long time to wait .
If anyone can give me some suggestions or help it would be greatly appreciated.
